OUR STORY
Dusty Boots. Stained Hands. Classic Wines.
It all started with a single acre vineyard planted by founder Dave Becker in 2002 — hence the name Acre Wines.
In 2017, we fulfilled a lifelong dream when we purchased Acre Wines from founders, Dave Becker and Bob Babbe. We then partnered with veteran winemaker, Richard Bruno, and together we’re continuing the legacy of producing highly acclaimed, handcrafted wines from celebrated vineyards in the Napa Valley, and now Mendocino.
Our wines beautifully express the unique characteristics that define the Napa Valley and Mendocino growing regions. We make our wines with grapes sourced from preeminent, family-owned estate vineyards, all of which adhere to sustainable and organic farming practices. We choose to work with our vineyard partners because of the exceptional terroir, impeccable vineyard management, and resulting quality of the fruit, which set the stage for what you taste in the bottle.
Having met as kids on the pristine shores of Fallen Leaf Lake in Tahoe, California, the preservation of our environment and natural resources has always been front and center for us. We aim to create stellar wines while minimizing the environmental footprint at every stage of the process. We’ve committed to sourcing our grapes from organically and sustainably farmed vineyards. We use eco-friendly lightweight bottles and 100% recyclable materials for our corks. We’ve even eliminated using the foil capsules on the bottles!
We’re looking forward to sharing our wines with you! Join us in downtown Napa at Feast It Forward, across from the Oxbow Public Market, for a glass of wine when you’re in town. If you’re not in the area, you can order Acre wines to be delivered to your door. Double check our Shipping Policy to make sure we ship to your state. We’d also love to host you for a virtual tasting where you can sip and savor with friends, family, or colleagues between your trips to the wine country.
Feel free to reach out to us if you need any recommendations on wines!
Cheers,
